Emergency response simulation at Bell Immersive.
Participant and administration web interfaces, scenario workflows, and real-time frontend integration.
React, Next.js, TypeScript, Redux, Socket.IO.
Emergency exercises need two connected experiences: organisers prepare the scenario and roles, while participants respond to changing information together. The interface has to keep the exercise understandable as alarms, communications, and activities arrive.
I built interfaces across both applications. Administration tools cover scenarios, teams, roles, assets, and exercise boards. The participant experience brings live alarms, communication, tactical boards, and activity tracking into the simulation.
Real-time events have to reach the right scenario and update the shared interface. The frontend integrates socket connections with session state, including connection feedback and reconnection handling.
My work also includes maintaining these applications as they evolve, including the admin migration to the Next.js App Router and updates to AI conversation interfaces.
Organisers can configure exercises and participants can work through them with shared boards and live updates. My contribution covers the web applications and their integrations within the broader simulation platform.
